Castiglioni brothers and a strange idea of furniture
Fondazione Achille Castiglioni proposes a new exhibition, which like its predecessors will show and share with the public the details of the design process of the Castiglioni brothers.
Housed in Piazza Castello 27, in Milan, from February 17th to 30th of October, it will be able to explore the theme “Domestic Dimension”, investigated in a particular way as stated by the exhibition's curator Beppe Finessi:
“An original location, inside the big history of furniture, it is represented by the work of Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, extraordinary designers especially known for domestic projects, field who along with the acrobatic installations represents at best the extraordinary significance of their project action. However, there were some specific moments in which their creativity and their curiosity leaked into the original interior design projects, different from the architectural culture of the historical reference period. Moments through which the Castiglioni, in addition to the individual objects, put at stake a clear game idea on housing: having fun, squeezing us out and establishing unpublished primates also on a complex area such as the furniture.”
