Zona Sant’Ambrogio: from Leonardo to young designers
Zona Sant’Ambrogio Design District, established in 2013 from a project of Re.rurban Studio, includes one of the most beautiful historical areas of Milan. The neighbourhood streets were traversed by Leonardo da Vinci and young contemporary designers, but today they are the ideal home for the food quality design, musical events, architecture and shopping.
Here is a short description on how the district is preparing itself for Milan Design Week. Like every year, Doutdesign will host the emerging international designers. In the garden, 10 high-quality vintage food truck under the name of Urban Eat. The HD will be opened every evening until 23.00; on Saturday even later. There will be travelling info-points and with Flora et Decora, there will be a territorial and “floral” communication. Thirty thousand copies of the Area Map will be distributed to visitors, international tourists and lovers of design. Parco Sempione is likely to become the “place to be” of this Design Week: 2016 will be an important opportunity for growth for Sant’Ambrogio area as the Design District.
