The first Manifesto of Salone del Mobile is coming

Desigining for the future means recreating the way of thinking and planning, of working and connecting, and finally a new way to project and design.

Salone del Mobile, the most recognized design fair in the world, reunites in just one week more than three hundred thousand designers, architects, critics, intellectuals and trendhunters for a week full of emotions, innovation, design, technology and attractions to make from this event, one of the best global experiences for professionals.

As every year, the 200,000 m2 will future four main sections: SaloneSatellite, with 650 new raising young talents and emerging brands from Latin America and Africa for this year, The International Furnishing Accesories (Classic, Design, xLux) with more than 1,300 exhibitors, Euroluce, Workplace3.0, the International Bathroom Exhibition with 228 exhibitors, and the return of the biennal events of Eurocucina/FTK (Technology for the Kitchen) with 111  exhibitors showcasing the most innovating products.
Not to forget the 3rd Salone del Mobile Milano Award, for those exponents who do their bit to make Milan the most interesting and attractive place in the world during this particular week.

Through a round table debate taking place in Bocconi University this last week, the organization committee together with the masters of Italian design among them Piero Lissoni, Carlo Ratti, and Stefano Boeri discussed the main principles for this edition as sustainable design, processes and solutions. This edition Salone tends to explore the relationship between nature and living through the events and exhibitions around the city architectural context.

To mention one of them, La Natura dell´Abitare a 500m2  intervention designed by Carlo Ratti Associati will be located in Palazzo Reale, the heart of Milano, blending tomorrow´s living and how to relate the design of an interior space to the nature of the external space. Ponding the possible reconciliation of man and nature with an emotive exhibition. The project also aims to illustrate the feasibility of air conditioning technology on an 5 metre high pavilion.
