The watch manufacturer presents the installation Spring Drive, a unique watch technology, with two works to explore its iconic glide motion, that represents the flow of time.

Grand Seiko presents an installation dedicated to the Spring Drive movement, the unique and innovative mechanism characterized by its high precision.
Two Japanese artists – TAKT PROJECT and Shingo Abe – have recreated the essence of Spring Drive in an installation that invites the visitor to think about and explore the innovation that Spring Drive represents.

Installation by TAKT PROJECT
Born from the search for ultimate precision, Spring Drive’s second hand flows without a tick. Not only does it bring accuracy in telling time but it also makes it possible to sense the transience of time, in a unique entity in which ultimate precision and an enriching feeling co-exist.
After many years of striving for perfection, a new dimension of watches has come into being, and it is presented as a space where parts made with high precision and the flow of time complement each other.

Installation by Shingo Abe
The sweeping second hand with supreme energy efficiency is one of the features of Spring Drive.
Its smooth motion, gliding across the dial without a sound, is something that leaves an unforgettable impression on viewers. In this installation, the beautifully moving second hands will collaborate with nature to create a sense of unity that will resonate with the audience.
