This is the first exhibition of the Chinese designer and Red Dot Award Grand Prix winner Cong Ma and his team, Hundredicrafts, at La Triennale di Milano. Their source of inspiration is the garden, which constitutes an important element in Chinese culture, being considered an external projection of the Oriental intellectual spirit. The floral window is the key element of their work, representing the context of Chinese tradition and the literary spirit behind this technique, in a work that combines modern design with traditional Chinese craftsmanship such as embroidery, goldwork, silverwork, woodwork, ceramic and porcelain. Elements such as lake stones, pavilions, and pagodas, which were at the heart of the life of ancient Chinese intellectuals, live in harmony with the floral window, providing visitors with an insight into the literary mind that lies beneath craftsmanship.
