Markus Benesch presents 'play.' a new collection of furniture and wallcoverings for Curious Boy. Celebrating the playfulness of design in the studio’s unique choice of materials in a surreal pre-medieval-post-futuristic setting.

The new collection play. designed by Markus Benesch for Curious Boy exhibits six tables, three cabinets, bowls and wallpaper in the studios’ typically unexpected open and joyful design method.

This collection, presented in the Oratory of St. Ambrogio, Milan, is charged with the same innovative energy that has always characterized Benesch’s work: the unexpected play between perspective, colors, materials, and sculptural elements — always done with a twinkle in the eye.

The impressively ornate Oratory is a perfect backdrop for this other worldly collection. It is a symbiotic juxtaposition that uses the impact of the existing space to highlight and enhance Benesch’s furniture and wallpaper designs on exhibit and vice versa.
