Fornasetti - Celestial Architectures

Presentation of the new collection "Architettura Celeste" (celestial architecture) designed by Barnaba Fornasetti for the 2018 Milan Design Week.
The new decoration "Architettura Celeste" is a reworking of the historic motif created in the Fifties by Piero Fornasetti. The colour sky-blue ("celeste" in Italian) enriches the black and white of the traditional motif that becomes more dreamlike.
The collection comprises a wide range of furniture and accessories, including the iconic trumeau, a screen, a cabinet and a corner cabinet, tables, chairs, mirrors and panels, in a perfect synthesis of art and craftsmanship.

The exhibition "The Fornasetti trumeau. 1950-2018. 1950 – 2018. History of an icon" celebrates the history of the “trumeau”, providing the opportunity to see all the various models together for the first time.

The show retraces the origins and evolution of one of the most iconic and representative items of the Milanese Atelier’s output, chronicling a story that spans seventy years and presenting a wide variety of forms and decorations, culminating in its latest variant: the trumeau “Architettura Celeste” (“Celestial Architecture”), a limited edition of 20 pieces.
