A room with a view

On the occasion of the 2018 edition of Milan Design Week, Vito Nesta presents Heritage, a wallpaper series designed for Limonta, recounting a captivating story in the splendid backdrop of Palazzo Litta.

Embellished with intricate and detailed drawings of nineteenth-century gobelins, the wallpaper series features protruding, flashy tassels; rolls of wallpaper suspended in a dimly-lit red room - an invitation to enter and interact within its world.

 The tones are faded, delicate and soft, showing all without telling. The wallpaper, intricately-decorated, wealthily boasts symbols of the Oriental worlds - fantastic creatures, chariots drawn by winged animals, exotic architecture and floral potpourri - paying homage to the age-old traditions of occidental textiles and ancient tapestry.

Heritage is a project that unites a wide imagination of icons and stories wherein creativity and tradition can in fact co-exist; a sensory, emotional tale of a long history.
