The exhibition, named Sanlorenzo: the Sea in Milan and set in the premises of La Triennale di Milano, describes transversally and with a little bit of Dadaism the creativity of our shipyard.
Stylistic commixture and the capability of creating a connection between different universes of
“Made in Italy” are trademarks for Sanlorenzo, one of the leading shipyards in the world for the
production of yachts over 24 meters in length. Telling a different way of living the Sea is the key
to escape a “crystallization” that has been keeping the boating industry detached from the
languages of our time.
That is why Sanlorenzo was the first to partner with some of the most renowned Italian
designers in creating the interiors of its highly bespoke yachts, such as Dordoni Architetti,
Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Piero Lissoni, besides maintaining constant and organic
cooperation with those furnishings brands that better represent contemporary quality and taste.
These partnerships, along with several initiatives designed with the most important art galleries
– like Tornabuoni Arte on the occasion of international events such as Art Basel and Biennale
di Venezia – contribute in getting some fresh air to the boating world, often inexplicably
detached from the refined language of interior design that made us known and unique in the
world.
