Microlino goes Milano Design Week (Mobility Partner Swiss Design Map Milano)
In the year 1953 Renzo Rivolta from Bresso Italy invented the Iso Isetta. It was the first microcar with a front door opening that became very successful because people could not afford bigger cars at the time. Over 60 years later we thought that it was time to revive this concept again but this time for a different reason. We believe that with the Microlino we created an eco-friendlier, more practical and fun mobility solution.
This is not a car! The Microlino combines the advantages of a motorbike with those of a car and was designed to be the ideal vehicle for daily distances, like commuting to work or shopping. It has two seats, a kerb weight of 450 kg, a range of 120 or 215 kilometers and a maximum speed of 90 km/h, which is more than enough for an urban environment. With just 2.4 meters length, the Microlino is ideal for cross-parking, the front-entrance enables getting out directly on the sidewalk. The selling price is around 12'000 Euros, less than a car, but a bit more than a motorbike.
Designed in Switzerland and made in Italy. Up to now, we have received more than 5700 reservations and will start production in summer 2018 with our Italian partner Tazzari.
