Who said that Latin is dead? This collection plays with latin mottos that are still used in Italy and around the World. Each phrase has a little story behind it that is nice to know and share and a message to play with.

PIATTO UNICO presents the IPSE DIXIT tableware line at BigApple, an eclectic design store in the heart of the 5Vie.
This is where in ancient times the Romans settled the Forum, the beating heart of city life. The district that preserves some intriguing ruins of the ancient Mediolanum is the perfect setting for IPSE DIXIT: a tribute to Latin mottos and proverbs with intact charm, common sayings that have been survived for centuries and are still in use today in Italy and in other Countries, even if sometimes we ignore their story and their original meaning.

IPSE DIXIT line is handmade in Italy, with a minimal and elegant look; tactile ceramics meet black & white graphics for a table set composed of dinner and soup plate, dessert plate, bread small plate and bowl, in a number of subjects that allows choice and personalization.
PIATTO UNICO creates made in Italy collectible ceramics, inspired by timeless images that belong to our collective imagination.

Emanuela Sala, creator and designer of the brand, offers a sophisticated aesthetic that freely mixes different visual stimuli: ancient yet strongly contemporary, alive and up-to-date.

The ceramic plates are crafted in Italy using old moulds and the whole process is manual, therefore the production is limited.
