LITHOS MOSAICO ITALIA, in an itinerant route through the streets of Milan's' design, presents its innovative
mosaics through three audacious installations that show all the expressive power and seductiveness of
marble.
The “REWIND MASTERPIECES” collection, (design Andrea Mighali) celebrates the great masters of Italian
art, like a time machine, brings together the iconic masterpieces, and reinterprets them through the prism
of new design trends. Four millimetres thick and sophisticated mosaics, which want to defy time and
immediately generate a sense of recognition and novelty at the same time. The most important artworks of
the past here are the protagonists of future design.
In response to the vintage and retro-inspired trends, the "ANTS and BEES" collection (design Andrea
Mighali) offers two unmistakable solutions.
In "BEES", insects, floral motifs and fractal geometries coexist in an organic environment, full of life. A
vintage recall with contemporary taste, made of standard and micro hexagonal tiles.
"ANTS" offers optical illusions in a perfect "Op Art" style, strictly black & white. Hardworking ants build up
pure geometries with 3D effects and render a "vision in the vision", that winks at the past, in an ironic,
light and contemporary way.
Finally, "LILY", is proposed as an abstract floral motif with marked and decisive lines suspended on a
floating and suffused background, made of elegant nuances, leaves and solar golden reflections. Created
with low thickness tiles and sticks.
