On the occasion of the 2018 Fuorisalone, Caracol Studio presents a collection of furniture entirely made using robotic 3d printing technologies.
The collection consists of a coffe table, a magazine rack and a chair and will be hosted in the spaces of the prestigious "Copernico" coworking located in Via Tortona. The synergy with the place in which the collection is proposed is important as the flexibility and elegance of contemporary workspaces is fully reflected in the characteristics of the post-industrial design proposed by Caracol.
The innovative manufacturing process used by Caracol makes the furnishings fully customizable in terms of shapes, colors and sizes and uses, the materials are also 100% recycled and recyclable by placing the products in an interesting upcycling circuit .
PHILOSOPHY
With this project we want to focus on three themes that we consider extremely important and contemporary as the beneficial contamination between the world of technology and design, aimed to push forward the frontiers of design; the social and ecological sustainability of a production (even in large dimensions) with additive manufacturing technology, and lastly, the importance of communicating and disseminating these concepts in a world always more permeated by the digital
