ENRICO DERFLINGHER
Born in Lecco in 1962, he was to be one of the greatest Italian chefs in
the world.He graduated in 1977 at the Bellagio Hotel Institute, and got
precious training in great hotels and starred restaurants all over the
world, so that, at just 27, he became a personal chef of the English
royal family.In 1991 he was a chef at the White House.His success
then led the Italian to the creation and opening of the “Terrazza”,
the Eden of Rome, where he stayed for nine years, winning Michelin
Stars, before then going to the Palace Hotel in St. Moritz.
For eight years in Japan with his group he opened and ran over 30
Italian restaurants, including the Armani Ginza Tower in Tokyo.In 2008
he was awarded “Best chef in the world”.In 2012, he was elected
President of the Euro Toques – Italy.In 2014 he was appointed by
President Napolitano Commendatore della Repubblica Italiana and
Ambassador of Italian Food.In 2015, he was elected President of
Euro-Toques International.Since 2017 he has been a consultant chef
for Castadiva Resort in Blevio (Co) and has opened Il Mercato
restaurant in Taiwan.
