Fortina produced by Toppan_Kōchu_ Project Luca Trazzi_ INTERNI, MATERIAL IMMATERIAL

The exhibition MATERIAL-IMMATERIAL organized by INTERNI at the Università degli Studi di Milano is a core city-center event in the program of initiatives collateral to the Milan International Furniture Salon. Using a clearly comprehensible language, Luca Trazzi emphasizes the product’s lightness and strength, typically Japanese properties inherent to the Fortina produced by Toppan architectural system launched by Toppan Printing Co.Ltd. The prestigious Cortile d’Onore of the historical Milanese building is the backdrop for the conceptual installation Kōchu - (pillars of light), designed by Luca Trazzi to describe the two souls of this material for architecture. It is light and highly versatile, consisting of aluminium slats wrapped in a PVC-free film that can reproduce the effect of wood, metal or terracotta, consenting a wide range of design expressions.
