How is the design of objects, interiors and public spaceschanging in the era of mobile technology and neo- nomadism? How are the shapes, materials, interfaces, uses, and archetypes of design changing? Design Nomade, the first exhibition project based on an international call by BASE Milano, under the supervision of Stefano Mirti, features several different examples built around the idea of deft design, conceived for the new needs of contemporary lifestyle: from To ManyPlaces, the pop-up hotel by EmmyPolkamp, to WaterBed, the water-floatinghouse by Daniel Durnin,with a focus on the technological experimentations of HOMI Smart.
