Walking around the Fuorisalone I was struck by how many pregnant women I encountered perusing the beautiful trinkets on display. A strange intro for a blog post I know but it got me thinking how the desire to surround homes with objects which are easy on the eye is such a prime evil desire. This natural instinct we have to nest is the base motivation which has led to the most elaborate interiors being created or the outstanding buildings being built. This added to the human competitive streak has resulted in the need to make your environment beautiful and more importantly make it better than those next door. In a constant quest to stand out from the rest and use it as a way convey yourself as superior.
