The famous saying "an apple a day ..." …" is translated into "a designer/project a day", from which the initiative A designer a day takes its name.

In the context of DEA+Fuoritrentino – 3rd edition, La Trentina, a producer and marketer of apples, in collaboration with DesignHUB and under the scientific supervision of the INDACO department of the Politecnico di Milano, aims to support and promote young designers by providing space for their creativity. From 17th to 21st April, 5 young designers (strictly under 35) will become protagonists for a day of the A designer a day space. The designers will be selected by a special panel of judges from the participants of the contest and will be invited to present their work in the previously set up, customisable exhibition area, which will be dedicated entirely to their project. There will be no limits to the type of projects presented, as long as they are…SELF-MADE.

A won gamble: by the fact, in a litthe more than a week from the publication of the announcement (that was opened on 26th of march and cloed the 6th of april), the contest confirms a trend that happens more and more with strenght, creativity, passion _ also in numbers: about a hundred submissions in 10 days. Many progects and many ideas, often of absolute quality.

Seven the selected projects (and one special mention), that from 17th to 22nd april, will become the main characters of an exhibition area already mounted and customizable totally dedicated to the A designer A day initiative.

A special mention has been given to Dale Hardiman (Australia) with Klag, chair realized with a new cement material with structural abilities.

A designer A day is also an interactive project, in fact a dedicated blog and a facebook page, through images, testimonials and interviews, will tell the initiative and will follow day by day the going on of the event www.designhub.it/adad.
