Sam showcase a new series of pieces ranging from 2D to 3D and embracing the use of multiple materials such as glass, ceramic, porcelain or textile
To celebrate its first participation to the Design Week, THE CLOISTER, one of the most recognized Milanese Concept Store in the 5 VIE area, hosts the French Designer Sam Baron.
In the beautiful setting of the XV century Bramante’s cloister, where THE CLOISTER is set, the French designer showcase a new series of pieces ranging from 2D to 3D and embracing the use of multiple materials such as glass, ceramic, porcelain or textile.
Starting from the archetypal shapes of basic containers such as vases or plates, Sam changes their status using and blending multiple materials.
No matter if they are considered “humble” such as terracotta or “precious” as glass, it is their exquisite design and the unique savoir-faire of the artisans that transforms these materials into extraordinary design pieces.
The distinctive designer sense of narrative is visible and tangible also thanks to these groups of objects to be seen as completed and finished experimentation coupled with hand made sketches, prints and collages: all celebrating the 500 Anniversary of Leonardo and his last French period works.
