SUPERSLABS is a spatial sculpture, an archetype between threshold and portal using the surfaces of ‘graniglia’ marble of the series SLABS of Mipa company.
SUPERSLABS is an object for the city designed as an urban outpost of the company that creates a palette of highly decorative surfaces.
As an urban furniture in the area of the district “cinque vie”, SUPERSLABS offers the possibility to use the space for free and spontaneous activities and for moments of meetings and break.
The large format of these materials opens up new perspectives for their use, acquiring new technical performances and reinterpreting the theme of the "terrazzo" in a new and alternative way.
During the opening evening of the cinque vie district, SUPERSLABS will be the epicenter of a presentation event for the "MACADÀM" fanzine, a free publication dedicated to the world of interior design, conceived and sponsored by MIPA. Macadàm is inspired by independent magazines that were produced and self-produced by many youth artists of the past. A fanzine designed for experts of interior design, where you can immerse yourself in a collection of contributions, anecdotes, writings, drawings and images, in order to get the material and immaterial dimensions of this project and his surface values.
