Marble Wireless Charger PAD

Niccolò Garbati born in Carrara in 1990. A family tradition of marble continues, combining the "know-how" with the art of curiosity for the opportunities of technology. In 2018 he was selected among the 20 finalists of the Young Design, a competition sponsored by the ADI and dedicated to the best designers under 35 who participated in the Milan Design Week. He set up Progetto99 Stone Design with which he deals with architectural and interior projects, he follows projects and construction sites - in Italy and internationally - he designs objects characterized by the use of marble.

On the occasion of Milan Design Week, 2019, Niccolò Garbati presents - within Ventura Future - three projects that combine the classicism of marble with technological development: Wireless Charging Pad, La Sensibile and Interactris. Three objects connected to each other, each other's other, which also share the union of innovation and tradition, technology and craftsmanship, style and functionality, home automation and design.

Wireless charging pad marks a point of arrival for subsequent projects. It is a universal charger for smartphones, simple in form and use. The Pad looks like a small marble disk (Ø cm 12 x2 thick) in a range of colors that includes Bianco Carrara, Grigio Bardiglio and Nero Marquina. The technology behind the Wireless Charging Pad is designed to be applied to furniture and surfaces in stone or marble, both in bars and restaurants.

Ventura Future will also be the stage for the presentation of the La Sensibile project, a wireless lighting and charging lamp. Three essential elements for the project on the subject: a marble base, a steel stem and a light bulb. The Sensitive is the natural evolution of Wireless Charging Pad of which it is not a complement. The marble base, with a diameter of cm. 15 - proposed in the Bianco Carrara and Grigio Barbiglio variants - it is positioned above the Pad, wrapping it and hiding it. The induction generated by the contact with the Pad is transferred via the metal stem to the bulb, turning it on. A rechargeable battery inserted in the marble body.

The technology of marble and wireless technology is a new reference point in the essential lines of Interactris, an interactive game designed for children based on the classic "tris". The materials. The game plan and the tesserae - the white marble circulars and a black marble cross - are derived from stone processing waste. The structure and the drawers are made of wood and stainless steel. The square shape of cm. 40x40, in its 12 cm. of thickness of the game plan, a card-holder drawer and the spaces for housing the electronic card that controls the lighting of the LEDs. When the plugs are positioned in the recesses of the playing surface, a light turns on thanks to the simple contact, illuminating them. A game to bring children closer to design and technology, but also a piece of furniture that satisfies the eye of adults.
