MOURN

MOURN is a new type of urn that is made by mixing cremation ashes and a bioplastic called PHA. This bioplastic is created by bacteria that clean our sewage wastewater. By mixing the ashes and the PHA, an urn can be made into a solid object instead of the traditional container. Since the bioplastic will degrade slowly, the ashes will release slowly as well and therefore the soil can process the nutrients and chemicals from the ashes at its own pace. This prevents soil- and groundwater pollution.
