Terra cruda - Terra Migaki Design
9-14 April 2019
Matter, land, innovation for green designers, self-production and enhancement of ancient techniques present in the knowledge of excellent magister artis: these are the keywords of a corollary of events which, starting from an international design competition, will be enriched by demonstrative events, workshops, labs, conferences, fairs and exhibitions. All the events are the result of a cultural exchange between the Western world and Japanese one that has been in progress for several years.
The design with the earth creates interest in different fields, from self-production to industrial design, keeping the authenticity of the earth as real material, matter from which life springs, material that supports our steps, substance that gives shape and name to our planet. Returning to the origin of the material is not a backward process but a research on innovation and new ways of thinking about the earth. Earth returns from the raw state to the earth with the alchemy of new perspectives of shape
All this it is TerraMigakiDesign, an incentive for design thoughts, cultural contaminations and theoretical-practical training actions involving various professionals and international Masters of Art.
The annual event in Milan dedicated to design represents for TMD an opportunity to relaunch the themes of sustainability and, in particular the use of raw earth, configuring itself as an insights, absolutely unique in its kind, on green design. For the 2019 edition, in addition to the institutional design competition, the team offers insights on the theme of raw earth, as well as extensive information work, the organisation of events and highly professional training sessions held by internationally renowned magister artis and designers.
The international vocation of the competition in recent years has led to collaborations with international bodies and subjects who have worked as TMD ambassadors, co-sponsors and co-organizers of all the annual events of Terra Migaki Design.
TMD is a Design Competition; exhibitions, seminars, workshops, conferences and a travel to Japan.
