Can a perfume dress up?

Fragrances expand and diffuse in spaces and architectures. Often defining their identity. There exists also, anyway, the wish to ”imprison them” so as to touch their impalpable souls.

JIJDE has so thought of giving its ambient fragrancies a proper form. With a search made of details, design and shapes of sober beauty. And, as the perfume is invisible and, at the same time, perceptible through smell, in the same way it is the object which contains the fragrance: light, transparent and precious.

LITCHI is born - in reference to the precious  Chinese fruit, considered of good omen in the thousand-year tradition - a blown glass diffuser realized by the glass masters from Murano, in a limited, numbered edition. The surface shows a light, criss-cross relief realized with the balloton technique, therefore designed in the act of blowing using a metal mould with pyramidal points.

Light lingers sweetly caressing the surface, with geometrical games, both surprising and magical. The superior border of the vase, polished and of diamond purity, unexpectedly takes the colour of the perfumed liquid contained, thanks to the optical refraction.

So the unique image of an “invisible” object  appears illusorily held by a vivid ring  suspended in the void and resting on the rattan reeds immersed in the coloured fragrance.

JIJIDE donates an object able to give  beauty and elegance to the places of everyday life together with an enchanting sensory journey made of perfumes and fragrancies.
