CIVETTERIA

Also this year, OBYARTStudio Multifunzionale takes part with pleasure in the days of Fuorisalone, the great event that celebrates Design in Milan. Protagonist of this week, Gianantonio Ossani and his "Civetteria". A contemporary artist active for almost fifty years, Ossani expresses himself with a metaphorical transposition of the human condition, rendered emblematically in works with zoomorphic subjects, obtained by assembling things of common use. In this exhibition he exhibited his owls, some painted on wood, others made with "found" objects, which become pieces of furniture with a simple but not naive, poetic and sometimes even ironic design. Works, his, that help to understand how art can be part of life and make it better. Because art often also gives this. "The night when the owl sang is the one in which Rossana Bossaglia was born, art critic and author of important essays on the Liberty.In 1978 Rossana Bossaglia came up with the idea of ​​an exhibition called "Civetteria", inviting fifty artists to try their hand at the theme of the owl: their works were exhibited at the "Galleria dei Bibliofili" in Milan, among those fifty artists I was there, with a wrought iron work entitled "The Birth of Rossana", which appeared on "La Repubblica" newspaper: Forty years have passed since that event and today I wanted to remember Rossana Bossaglia with an exhibition of the same title, which will be staged in the "OBYARTStudio Multifunzionale" space by Roberta Barbieri. Some painted, others realized by assembling materials and objects of recovery, and an exhibition has emerged that would have pleased Rossana (a great collector of works of art representing owls and owls), to which, if you come back to life, I would gladly give you the somewhat flirtatious work (his "chair") that I wanted to dedicate to it."
