Pollice Illuminazione, one of the most innovative and bespoken actors in the lighting design scene since 1908, will showcase two of its outstanding initiatives at the 2019 Fuorisalone: the preview of Florencia Costa’s striking light sculptures FC01 and FC02 at PolliceLightGallery (via Giovanni Rasori 12) and, a few steps away, the launch of the visionary PolliceLightLab (via Guido d’Arezzo, 11a).
PolliceLightLab opens in Via Guido d'Arezzo, in Pollice Illuminazione’s original space for molds and lamp prototyping, as a research and support laboratory for the design of the light of the future. The space, masterfully renovated by Vittoria Tamanini Pozzitogether with Marco Pollice, acts to provide place for meeting and exchange between architects, artists, designers and enthusiasts who bring and share different skills, with the common goal of deepening the world of light and its influence on human well-being. Here science and art, creativity and design, sustainability and handicraft production, tradition and innovation will converge. Large, bright and conceptually innovative, PolliceLightLab, is not a regular showroom – it provides new modes of communication and adds a modern projection room to the display tables.
