Atelier d'aujourd'hui

During Design Week 2019 (April 9th. - 14th., 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.) circuit 5Vie Art+Design, DecorAzione®  by Angela Florio opens her Atelier in Palazzo Fagnani to the public. Here you will experience a most  genuinely artistic environment, where aestethic taste and creativity combine with experimentation and age old technical skill.

The latest and most relevant decorative works will be shown in the Atelier, just recently adorned with the newest collection Tessuto and carte da parati (Fabrics and Wallpaper), integrated with the launch of the new brand Blue Velvet.

The Tessuto da Parati is composed of both digital prints customized with manual interventions, and abstract effects obtained with special treatments and traditional artisanal tecniques. On the Carta da Parati, rigorously hand-painted, gold leaves and acid-etching effects stand out among paintings and marbled paper insertions. Prints of some of the designs are made by Angò Wallpaper, who integrates fully with his corporate mission.

The new Blue Velvet line is created with laser-cutting methods with which Arch.Elisabetta Mastrangelo invents the new design with hand-assembled shiny methacrylate. The collection opens with Lady, a small table made for formal spaces whose surface is reminiscent of that of a diamond; available in solid colours such as red, black, champagne or with sofisticated decorations made ad hoc by DecorAzione®  .

We are presenting a refined collection of wall coverings and design products; an unprecedented union of serial productions and unique inventions.

The synergy between design and craftsmanship is the founding concept of DecorAzione®   by Angela Florio, who has been shaping her creations for more than 20 years inside her atelier in Palazzo Fagnani.

DecorAzione® is art applied to the living space through the design and the creation of modular systems (palette) for Interior design, Design and Art. Every palette is created by Angela Florio from one of her original drawings and they become a decorative model made up of different materials and then transferred to any type of application, artistic or otherwise; examples of such are Arras, the first contemporary tapestry made with fiber optics and the invention of the Quadrolibro, a foldable and transportable piece.

The opening is on Wednesday April 10th. from 19.00 to 23.00.
