MILAN DESIGN WEEK

Exhibition “Women Portraits”

ottod’Ame displays the canvas of Loredana Giulioli

During the Milan Design Week, from 17 to 22 April, the brand ottod’Ame celebrates design and art in its Milan store in via Manzoni 39 by telling us about itself through the canvas of Loredana Giulioli, the artist from Milan.

Eight “Women Portaits” are on display, included one exclusively designed for the fashion brand. Eight portraits realized with the free hand embroidery pattern and the free motion embroidery technique.

The encounter between the Italian company and Loredana Giulioli was so spontaneous and natural, since their work focus on the feminine universe by exploring with passion and expressing with different styles the multifaceted emotional aspects of authentic life.

The “pencil” of Loredana Giulioli is an old sewing machine tracing lines that become drawings and words. Her women are portrayed in a significant moment of their lives, just one moment before answering the question “would you like telling more about it?”

Their faces and expressions suggest what they are about to narrate inspiring infinite narrative solutions. Hair and hats identify them.
