In 2018 the FIFA World Cup is held in Russia. There are 32 countries competing for being the best football team in the world. This year will be remembered as the year that Panama qualified for the first time ever. But the biggest surprise is the fact that two countries with a rich soccer heritage are not there. We are talking about Italy and the Netherlands.

For both countries this failure is extremely hard to digest. Bars will be empty, no orange, no bright blue, no giant screens in the main squares, no cars will run in the streets with the national flag. Supporters will be at home with lots of spare time but with nothing left to do.
