Exhibition and selling Algares Jewels Collection

I am Alba, architect and designer from Milan, and founder of the brand Algares. The motto is: “Forgotten materials, modern design”, www.algares.com.

The idea behind the motto is to bring together high-level Italian design and craft. In presenting design and craft to the international market, I make the most of the legacy of historical crafts related to the Made in Italy, many of which unfortunately are today at risk extinction.

Under the brand Algares, I invent, design and produce a range of collections, each focusing on a specific craft workmanship. The first one is a collection of jewels.

Some jewels were exhibited at the show “Gioielli alla Moda” held at the Palazzo Reale in Milan, at “Mostra Scatenata” at the Palazzo delle Stelline in Milan, and at “Naturalia” held at Homi and to go on show at the Palazzo Reale in Milan. The ring Morgana, in filigree and cocciopesto, has received a prize at the Contest Artistar 2017.

I designed a collection of jewels to support the Centro Maria Letizia Verga, a research centre for the cure of child leukaemia at the San Gerardo Hospital in Monza., and a necklace for the Association Dottor Sorriso in Milan, providing psychological support to hospitalised children.
