At the Court of food
Streeteat, a startup born as an aggregator of the best Italian and European food trucks, evolves for the Fuorisalone becoming a Food Court. An area devoted non only to food, but also to its culture.
A proper exhibition where students, designers and experts can confront each other on such matters as sharing, sustainability and design.
A social and cultural court in the heart of Brera, where an ongoing interaction will take place among the young students of Parini high school – ambassadors and PR of the Food Court-, visitors of the Brera Design District, the designers selected by architect Simona Cardinetti with their food-specific projects (chairs, tables, lights) and the artist Nicola Filia, with his work “Catene” (Chains), inspired by the bonds that make us feel protected in a known environment and to which we are attached, just like food culture and tradition to protect and preserve in time.
To create an itinerant Food Court, made of replicable and adaptable modules, the fitting was assigned to AUGUSTO Contract, specialized in realizing restoration venues, food courts e food halls.
Streeteat’s special partners for this event are going to be eV-Now! with its Tesla Destination Tour and Heineken.
The Food Court is in fact also a part of Tesla Destination Tour, eV-Now! and Tesla Owners Italia’s first zero impact journey discovering our Country’s technological, touristic and food excellences with a Model X equipped with Future Trailer.
On the futuristic self-powered trailer, customized as a food truck, a chef will be cooking the typical “risotto Milanese” to underline the importance of Italian cuisine during the Italian Food National Year.
The visitors’ experience will then be complete with a free tasting of Heineken 0.0, the latest beer created by the most international brewery in the world. The first non-alcoholic lager finally with a unique taste and Heinken’s “A yeast” quality. A product conceived by beer lovers for beer lovers, brought to you on an exclusive Airstream Truck.
Finally, the Food Court will be animated by the performances of “I Menù della Poesia” (Poetry’s menus), a group of young actors who from April 19 to 22 are going to entertain everybody with their à la carte literary offer, non to be missed.
The project Cucù – Cucine e Culture will bring stories of life and community through all the tastes of the world.
Milan’s traditional court becomes a Fuorisalone’s Food Court: a sort of modern art gallery offering the visitor an itinerary where ideas and innovations meet to create new sustainable and proactive lifestyles.
The event is under the auspices of Milan’s Municipality.
