Yamakawa Rattan presents the new collections

During Milan Design Week, Yamakawa Rattan will show in Brera Design District its new design furniture collection in a site-specific installation by Hiroomi (Omi) Tanaha (http://www.omitahara.com/), who designes many collection for the more tha 60 years old Japanese firm.

“Relation” dining chair and Relation coffee tables are two of the 2016 news, integrating Relation sofas collection presented last year in the same location.

Leit motiv of the collection is the thin structure of the legs of chair and tables: this structure  is made with the combination of fine metal tubes, hand woven with best quality rattan, so to seem lightweight but also durable and resistant.

Small tables are available both  with round or rectangular tempered and colored glass top.

“This relation between thin structure creates unique forms and yet maintaining a tough structure. This can be said about human society as well. I myself survive through life with the support from many people too.
