Barovier&Toso. News 2017.

Research and experimentation on ‘glass material.’ New lamps in many forms for versatility. For the windows, a project by Elisa Ossino Studio: an evanescent panel that seems to be made of the same very light glass material contains a new creation of the Venetian maison at the center.

The result of creative research and constant experimentation with “glass material”, the new chandeliers are able to transform and adapt to changes in taste and new stylistic requirements. Swing and Trim, two ceiling lamps that are very different from each other, have parts that can change their position depending on the vision of the client, giving rise to always changing combinations and lighting scenarios. Like all the Barovier&Toso collections, they can be made to measure, and are thus suitable for use in interiors and in large, dramatic installations. Their innovative spirit is nevertheless based on traditional workmanship, that of the artistic legacy of a company from Murano, conserved and passed down over the course of its long history.  

The collaboration between Marcel Wanders and Barovier&Toso is another factor of continuity: Perseus, the daring lamp presented in 2015, is now joined by five new dynamic, colourful creations: a table lamp, a floor lamp, a wall lamp and two bell-shaped suspension lamps. These new entries represent the perfect combination between a contemporary, even subversive approach to the design of chandeliers, and the mastery of the glass workmanship of Murano, bringing vivid new examples of the success of this exceptional synergy.
