Handy Marble - a portata di marmo - Fuorisalone 2017 NOLO

This project describes the murble as a natural stone, getting inspired from a worldwide game:

“ROCK- PAPER- SCISSORS”

Paper cover rock.

Rock crushes scissors.

Scissors cut paper.

Marble shows itself as a material which resonates pureness, however expressing its beauty and identity through the mineral impurities which determine its colour revealing its character and its history.

Both technological innovation and craftsmanship recently investigated its full potentiality pushing it to the limit: marble can be now lightweight and thin, decorative object and even wallpaper. Originated from a particular point in the marble block, each piece is unique.

Working with marble also gives us the possibility to attain a manufacturing process with a lower impact for what concern wastefulness: marble becomes recyclable and recycled.
