HANDS ON DESIGN Design that breaks down the boundaries between designers and master craftsmanship
Hands on Design showroom
Via G. Rossini 3
Hands on Design, the designer/entrepreneurs Kaori Shiina+Riccardo Nardi, has revived ancient skills and techniques used in traditional processes and are on a mission to coordinate ancient Japanese/Italian crafts and the creative souls of approximately twenty internationally-renowned designers. A number of projects have resulted from the synergy of these meetings - tableware to lighting.
The show room, at Via Rossini 3, has been created in a building with an important historical and artistic past. It opens its doors to invite the public to view its latest development, during the Fuori Salone del Mobile. In addition to this brand, the building is home to art galleries and a number of fashion and design ateliers. Continuing on its research pathway oriented to experimentation and innovation and marked by new synergies between designers and craftsmen, Hands on Design has introduced new ideas to the 2017 collection. The products in porcelain, glass, felt and steel are joined by exciting original design articles with powerful textural expressiveness.
