Every Village Chair, “tells” a history linked to an architecture; archetype of the collective memory, that begins a scenario for a cultural conversation in our home.
There are elementary archetypes that are fixed in the collective perception through Art, which drive us into the future and through the works of genius.
The idea of architect Carlo Malerba is to reveal the dichotomy, poetical and structural, that features the act of design. This dichotomy is read into a poetic interpellation; with objects that tells, with the capacity of inspire us thoughts social/cultural; inside the functional and technical approach of the contemporary society.
Here is, then, Leon Battista Alberti, who winks us the eye, from centuries ago, in front of Santa Maria Novella in Florence. Here isWillliam Van Alenlooking down from the Chrysler Building the Crack of Wall Street. Here is The Factoryand its work where everyone gets income, as well as Aldo Rossi’s Teatro del Mondoplace of entertainment and culture. Here is the Condominiumplace of private life and here is Le Corbusier with his new vision ofdwelling in the Unitéd’Habitation.
