3D PAPER, THE NEW SHAPE MEMORY FORM

NextMaterials will be present at Superstudio Più in the exhibition-event "New Materials for a Smart City", curated by Material ConneXion Italia under the patronage of the Municipality of Milan.

Element protagonist will be the futuristic 3D PAPER, new composite material for high environmental sustainability in 3D printing. The 3D PAPER is based on recycled paper, in a water-soluble and recyclable material in the paper industry. The new strand is perfectly weldable with water and easily moldable and polishable. The products can be made with colored glazes to make them waterproof and durable.

Thanks to a heat treatment 3D PAPER changes its consistency from the soft state to a solid state. The realization is characterized by the high-speed printing, temperatures at 180 ° C and cold dish (without lacquer and fan off).

Visitors to the Milan Design Week will attend an overview on innovation material for the construction of a new smart city. The different subject areas have technologies and materials that have the intention to innovate the operation of the city and the quality of life of its inhabitants: from building "smart materials" and sustainable solutions for environmental comfort and domestic citizen or for the exchange of information and data in urban areas.

The material is the subject of a patent filed in co-ownership with the Politecnico di Milano. The filament is marketed by Sharebot.

NextMaterials srl is a spin-off to the affiliate Interuniversity Consortium for Materials Science and Technology (INSTM), with close ties to the world of university research in materials, finishes and related technologies.
