"Aspecifiche Paillettes" Nonspecific Sequins

Exhibition of contemporary jewelery "Aspecifiche Paillettes" [Nonspecific Sequins].
The creations of MyriamB, beauty in the representation of apparent fragility. The volume is in the lightness of geometries composed of imperfect circles and squares, ragged, worn and repeated, so as to build in the imagination different forms of nature. Geometric and organic necklaces and earrings are inspired by consumed materials, raindrops, corals, peach trees in bloom and desert roses.
The main material is made from the same element, cellulose acetate, with which the commercial small colored scales (sequins) are serially made. But it is something very different, transformed, carved, exaggerated in shape and volume, no leaf is alike, the colors are smoky and opaque, never brilliant. There are no sparkly effects but Aspecifiche Paillettes hand crafted using traditional techniques and held together by a steel wire that creates the shape. Thus being very distant from their traditional use.
