On the occasion of the Milan Design Week 2017, Comprex presents its new Home Natural Garden system, which brings together integrated design and innovative technology to ensure that fresh fruit and vegetables are always available to be picked and consumed.

Developed in collaboration with the Department of Agricultural Sciences of the University of Bologna, Home Natural Garden, thanks to the control of the natural light cycle and the combined action of moisture and nutrients, gives the possibility to grow vegetables and fruit at home without any chemical fertilisers or pesticides or other substances that are damaging for health and for the environment.

In particular, Comprex proposes a new furniture module that includes a column in view dedicated to housing plants. The extreme attention to form and function makes this structure suitable to be added both to the living area and to the kitchen. The standard dimensions of Home Natural Garden are the following: 1200 cm x 600 cm x 560 cm, with the possibility to be customized depending on the available space.

Home Natural Garden is based on the Nutrient Film Technique (NFT), a hydroponic system where the plants’ roots, developed in a cube of natural substratum, are fed through a thin layer of nourishing solution that continuously flows along the bottom of the housing containing the plants.

The Milan Design Week will also be the opportunity for Comprex to present two new limited edition finishes for the kitchen Sintesi: Délabré Brass – which draws its inspiration from the 50s – and Organic Charred Wood – art and design where matter is enhanced. A mixture of glamour and textures, developed by Studio Marconato & Zappa in collaboration with CRS Molteni Vernici, that produces an original new interpretation of the Sintesi kitchen.
