Rubinetterie Stella are celebrating a very important anniversary in 2016: the 90th birthday of the Roma collection! It is rare that a product is manufactured for decades upon decades surpassing all trends and fashions; when this happens we are truly in the presence of an "icon".

It was therefore considered of vital importance that Roma should receive a special tribute in the form of an exclusive display in a prestigious environment - an art gallery – thanks to the invaluable contribution of two eminent professionals who, albeit via diverse styles, are both highly-acclaimed in the world of art: architecture and photography. Architect Michele De Lucchi, always an admirer of Roma, expresses through the curation of the exhibition the unique quality and intrinsic value of the product, highlighting its aesthetics and integral ‘made in Italy’ craftsmanship. The ‘instant artist’ Maurizio Galimberti has created a series of photographic mosaics to shine a light on the timeless relevance of Roma’s design. The mosaic images are fluid, leaving it entirely to the sensitivity and imagination of the observer to identify individual details and hidden compositions. Everything evokes the world of water.

The ultimate aim of the showcase was the desire to present a refined, engaging and undisputed affirmation of the originality and origins of Roma, a collection which has inspired hundreds of copies and imitations over the decades. "Roma is Roma" states the declaration behind the exhibit … Roma is as unique and eternal as the Capital City of its namesake!
