Future and learning are the keywords of Design Week 2019 at BASE Milano, an edition loaded with experimentation and novelty, starting with the launch of the Ventura Projects partnership for the Ventura Future event, and the new projects from BASE. These include: ‘UN-learn/RE-learn’, the ‘de-instructional’ itinerary of installations, practices and experiences created by Italo Rota with Marco Cadioli, Cittadellarte – Fondazione Pistoletto, Stefano Mirti and Super - Scuola Superiore d’Arte Applicata del Castello Sforzesco, Andrea de Chirico and Music Innovation Hub, envisioning new forms of future learning, and the ‘Design Confession’, conceived in collaboration with Ventura Projects.

The BASE / Ventura Projects partnership came about thanks to a common identity founded on research and innovation. On one side, an important cultural project in urban regeneration, now a landmark and accelerator for the creative industries; on the other, an organisation that has always stood out for its ability to explore new ideas and aesthetics on the global design scene. Together they are bringing to the Tortona district some of the most interesting contemporary thinking and experimentation, straddling design, society and learning.

Throughout the day the exhibition spaces spark new synapses to make way for fresh perspectives, delving into transformations and setting off unexpected connections.
At dusk there will be space for discussion and debate, thanks to a Public Program of talks and workshops, to allow ideas to settle and to foster discussion. With Parasite, Andrea De Chirico, Wacom and Marco Giordano.
The evenings will revolve around OPEN SOUND SESSION DESIGN WEEK, with a line-up taking you from sundown to the small hours with DJ sets in the BASE cortile and sound systems inside, pumping out a genre-busting mash-up of sounds.
