Materials Village

Materials Village, the hub of Material ConneXion Italia dedicated to materials, new technologies, design and sustainability, returns from the 8th to the 14th of April 2019 in the Art Garden and Piazza dell’Arte areas of the Superstudio Più open space. Materials Village will host companies connected to the world of materials and production processes presenting design and technological proposals in terms of aesthetics, sustainability and circular economy. The installation A Pinnacle of Reflections by 3M Design in collaboration with Matteo Thun & Partners, celebrates nature to inspire meaningful and sustainable solutions. MATERIICA The Beautiful Side of Design, a two-story exhibition where beauty will be celebrated as an authentic expression of design, will greeted visitors in the Art Garden. The special project, born from the collaboration between Material ConneXion Italia and Marie Claire Maison, is cured by architects Andrea Steidl and Raquel Pacchini from Ar-o-studio and the creative direction of Cinzia Felicetti, editor-in-chief of Marie Claire Maison. PUMA with Innovation by Design and Fraunhofer Institute for Interfacial Engineering and Biotechnology presents an experimental sports shoe as part of its BioEvolution project. The innovative and efficent materials and the avant-garde technological solutions that concern the building, interior design, textile and architecture sectors remain the real protagonists for this 6thedition.
