HOME CONTEMPORARY EXPLORATION DESIGN
For the fourth year Amleto Missaglia takes part in Brera Design Week and invites you in the fifteenth-century Palazzo Talenti, located in via Giuseppe Verdi 6, to discover an innovative home decor design, in collaboration with Alizarina-Studio, Mesa, Aventurina Design and Moser.
Inspired by the dominant theme of the Brera Design District 2019, Design Your Life, Amleto Missaglia has launched the project Home contemporary exploration design that combines the invitation to a conscious planning of life with a continuous exploration of new worlds of design. As T. S. Eliot said, «We shall not cease from exploration. And the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time», a sign that discovery is the fundamental key to a true knowledge and to a conscious project.
This journey immerses in the plays of the shapes and the colors with the Moser’s crystal vases, each of which represents a true work of art. The impressive and massive aspect of Lord’s Rock, Polygon and Simple vases harmonizes with the precise cuts and geometric shapes and highlight the artistic dexterity of the glassworkers, while the combinations and the overlapping of colors enhance the pure soul of these modern design objects.
The desire to discover is declined in new directions with the Unexpected collection by Mesa, in which the materials become the subject of study: brass turns into silver and marble becomes silk to create an amazing range of interior design items with clean shapes and soft surfaces.
Our exploration also travels through time, between past and present, with Aventurina Design lamps. The designer Silvia Finiels, in fact, recovers the Murano glass of the 1950-80 to give it a second life. This privileged, fragile and precious material is the source of inspiration for a new prestigious structure and it becomes the nucleus of a lamp or luminous sculpture elaborated and assembled by Silvia together with other smaller, nevertheless beautiful and precious, components.
The last stage of our journey in the design world isn’t a point of arrival but a real new beginning, thanks to the fabric panels inspired by tapestries and created by Alizarina-Studio. In fact, thanks to the forms and structures of visual languages, they open to a free interpretation and allow everyone to discover new realities and possible itineraries, whether they are a map of their own city and country or a map of their own body and DNA.
Tradition and uninterrupted research blend in the Amleto Missaglia atelier which, after more than 130 years, does not cease to value the Italian tradition of receiving art and it is projected into the future of the design and the innovation, thanks to the uninterrupted collaboration with Arcahorn, Alessi, Baccarat, Bernardaud, Carlo Moretti, Christofle, De Vecchi, Donghia, Herend, Hermes, J.L. Coquet, KPM, Lobmeyr, Manifattura di Venezia, Mesa, Moser, NasonMoretti, Puiforcat, Robbe & Berking, Rosenthal, Salviati, Sambonet, Schiavon e Venini.
