DOS_Design Open' Spaces Widespread District/Bovisa

In the context of the project DOS_Design Open' Spaces Widespread District, the Republic of design is located in the districts of Bovisa and Dergano.

Repubblica del Design was born with the Milan Design Week 2019 and creates several exhibition spots in the neighborhoods Bovisa and Dergano, and provides several consulates in other places in Milan that recognize themselves in the spirit of the project.

It was born with a "visionary" spirit: that of Ghigos, of the creatives of the area and of the university institutions that promote knowledge and research on a daily basis, believing in the power of innovation and imagination; but also that of the City of Milan, which constantly supports experimentation, seeking environmental quality and social cohesion in the territories of the project. And finally that of POLI.design, which has decided to celebrate its twentieth birthday by opening up to the territory, to share with citizens the bets won and the challenges of the near future in a "design party". 
It was born with a spirit of "awareness", what Enea and GSE are constantly pursuing, promoting studies on new urban and territorial models of energy consumption that in Bovisa now arise in a futuristic "wall of energy", but also what many teachers of the Design System of the Polytechnic of Milan carry out daily - in field research here told in narrative form - dealing with passion and professionalism with the themes of Autism, Alzheimer's, Huntington and the practices of "urban construction" participated.
It was born with a "revolutionary" spirit, a spirit that the collective ADA (Associazione Designer Anonimi) perfectly interprets thanks to the subversive and proactive charge of young students of Interior and Spatial Design of the School of Design, who redesigning urban fragments have chosen to get involved, directly, putting their face, even if in the guise of "anonymous designers".
It was born with a "dialogic" spirit, promoting an intergenerational confrontation and an ideal passage of design witness: elementary school children involved by Enea and GSE in the "Kidzdream" project build "urban dreams" and lead a TED with reversed parts; the young creatives of the area play instead to rethink the great classics in a technological key, "challenging" the thought of the "masters". So Ghigos and Alchimia, so ADA and Paolo Deganello design how to know and recognize each other.
