ME Milan Il Duca presents The Culture Collective for Zaha Hadid Design

Investigating the evolution of Zaha Hadid’s formal language, the “Zaha Hadid Design at ME Milan Il Duca” exhibition explores the interrelated fields of architecture and product design. As a singular composition, it presents a variety of works – limited edition furniture pieces, lighting objects, vases and other accessories – manufactured in different materials including glass, marble and ceramics.

“Zaha Hadid Design x ME Milan Il Duca” is a celebration of the studio’s diverse repertoire of products realised in collaboration with some of the world’s most renowned brands as well as its own signature collection.

Guests and visitors will be invited on an extraordinary journey through the innovative pieces of some of the design world’s most talented architects and designers, which will be displayed throughout the lobby, the library and the outdoor terrace restaurant, Il Giardino del Duca.

“Zaha Hadid Design x ME Milan Il Duca” will be unveiled at an exclusive preview at ME Milan Il Duca on Tuesday 9 April 2019 and will then be showcased until Tuesday 30 April 2019. It will be open to guests and members of the public.

Woody Yao, ZHD’s Director, commented on the exhibition and Zaha Hadid’s vision: “The strength of the collection lies in our ability to interpret the ordinary into something unexpected. When designing objects Zaha was never constrained by any given use or spatial context. We continue to follow and draw strength from this approach so that the collection has room to evolve without compromising the integrity of the design.”
