Exhibition of Village Chairs by Carlo Malerba
There are elementary archetypes that, depending on the historical periods, are fixed in the collective perception through art wich drive us into the future and through the works of genius.
Here is, then, Leon Battista Alberti, who winks us the eye, from hundreds of centuries ago, on a sunny afternoon in front of Santa Maria Novella in Florence. Here's the Chrysler Building looking from high the Crack of Wall Street. Here’s The Factory symbol of work, as well as the Theater center of entertainment and culture and the Condominium symbol of rebirth after the war.
In this concept of elementarity, the Village Chairs by Carlo Malerba represent an emotional synthesis of basic factors arising from the analysis and reinterpretation of buildings universally shared and recognizable, to create a series that represents a utopian village.
The desired or random combinations that are created between the various chairs, establish complex visual relationships, different and never boring.
