Tradition in Evolution

The “Tradition in Evolution” Exhibition is a collaboration of Red Star and C Foundation, a demonstration on the process of transmitting traditional ideas to a new physical form. It is also a collaboration of designers and China enterprises to reveal the beauty and living art of Chinese culture.

Ten designer groups led by the executive committee of C Foundation developed their furniture pieces with features or essence abstracted from traditional Chinese artifacts. The furniture pieces are off-set on a layout inspired by the beautiful Chinese landscape scenery, while the black and white tone gives a contemporary touch and echos with the show.
