Interni milanesi - Home interiors by Vico Magistretti

The exhibition focuses on one of the many less familiar aspects of Vico Magistretti’s work: the design of home interiors in Milan and surroundings. The show analyses urban interiors: large flats or residential cells in residential buildings. These are two aspects that starting in the 1950s accompany the transformation of Milan into a modern city, whose new residential complexes, in towers or linear constructions, constitute one of the most significant factors, like the large furnished flats with which the urban middle class represented its own desire for modernity.
