Agenda:
Fusion 360 - Workshop
Join Paul Sohi (@fusePS) to learn how to use Fusion 360, a powerful 3D modeling program that enables users to create complex models for multiple uses. The program supports 3D printing, CNC milling, laser cutting and more. This is an introductory workshop and we will cover basic 3D modeling and briefly run through some other features.
Please, make sure you have the program installed and running and bring a mouse/Wacom tablet with you.
You can get the student/educator license for the program for free at http://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/overview
Beyond Prototyping - Talk and Activity
Iohanna Nicenboim (@iohanna_ed), interaction designer and researcher – and collaborator of The Good Home – will present “Beyond Prototyping”, a research project from the University of the Arts Berlin, exploring the possibilities of algorithmically defined products that can be easily manufactured using digital fabrication techniques.
Iohanna will show three case studies they have developed using small commercial studios and a series of product-service system, proposing a vision of service model that sits between atelier and mass production. After her talk, she will hold a short ideation activity to explore the embedding of personal information in 3D objects.
Forge - Workshop
Adam Nagy (@AdamTheNagy) will introduce attendees to Forge, a set of Autodesk Cloud Services, APIs and SDKs for developers to create the data, apps, experiences and services that power the "Future of making things".
The event will start at 10 AM, Autodesk and Khronos Group will gladly take care of lunch and drinks at the conclusion.
