At the Fuorisalone in Milan a window of honor for Ceramica Francesco De Maio
Fashion meets Ceramics: Rovere Maiolicato in Kiton Showroom
Fine handwork, timeless ceramics and ancient tailoring together to present a new design icon. The appointment is for the Milan Design Week from April 12th to April 17th, in Kiton Showroom in Via Gesù, 11 - Milan, where you will see a preview of the Chest of Drawers made of Rovere Maiolicato.
“Rovere Maiolicato ...when ceramics become design...” it’s a new project of the Ceramica di Vietri Francesco De Maio, witness from 1494 of the culture and tradition of Vietri Ceramics. The Chest of Drawers made of oak and hand-decorated tiles. It’s born from the memory of the style and of the "Gio Ponti’s way of living" to realize the "dream of a versatile home".
The high level of workmanship and the endless charm of the forms are expressed in the combination of the most precious Vietri hand-decorated tiles and the essence of the oak.
Chests of drawers, Bedside tables, Dressers, Little Tables and Furniture for Bathroom, versatile, changeable, suitable in every space of modern life. Handmade pieces of furniture with a timeless design to be handed down from generation to generation.
“An evolution in ceramics with a particular look to the wonderful 60s and to all the Italian creativity – says Patrizia Famiglietti, cretive director of the Ceramica di Vietri Francesco De Maio – for a new concept of contemporary art”.
